Not really a great Sesame Street episode with Katy Perry

The Perry “Sesame Street” episode will no longer be airing, although “Sesame Street” is known for the famous guest stars that appear on it. The singer filmed a segment, and in that segment she sings a duet with Elmo. ”Hot and Cold” was the song that was sung by Perry and Elmo, although the clothing worn by Perry wasn’t appropriate for some parents’ beliefs. The video was seen by moms and dads as it was leaked on YouTube. This is when parents decided it was time to send letters and emails in complaining, resulting in the sketch being pulled.

'Sesame Street’ has Perry as a guest star

“Sesame Street” and other Jim Henson productions have always featured appearances by celebrities of the day. Within the last year, Katy Perry has had hits get lots of radio and music video on Television airtime because she is so popular at the moment. It makes perfect sense to get Katy Perry the gig. She should be on “Sesame Street.” The producers of the show filmed a segment where she sings a version of her song “Hot and Cold” with Elmo. Moms and dads weren’t mad as a result of the song as it was altered to be kid friendly.

Moms and dads won’t say ‘yes’ to the clothing choice

The clip of Perry singing with Elmo, one of the most well-known characters on the show, was leaked onto video site YouTube. Some viewers of the clip right away began writing letters and e-mails to producers, worried the segment was too racy for children. The content of the Katy Perry Elmo segment is totally innocuous, however Perry’s dress shows a bit too much cleavage for a kid’s show, according to MSNBC.

Avoiding troubles by dropping the segment

Producers dropped the segment because of all the outrage concerned parents showed. The clip is still accessible on YouTube, and neither Perry nor her comedian fiancé Russel Brand have had anything to say as yet.
